Grace and Peace to you.

Brothers, this week we focus on finding strength to resist temptation and walk in holiness, drawing from Romans 6:12-14 and 1 Corinthians 10:12-13. Paul reminds us that sin no longer has mastery over us because we are under grace, and that God always provides a way of escape from every temptation.

As Christian men, we’re called to actively engage in this spiritual battle using the tools provided—prayer, meditation, and the wisdom of the community of men. These aren’t mere suggestions but essential weapons for our spiritual growth. Let us embrace this week as an opportunity to grow stronger in faith, knowing that through Christ’s power, we can overcome every temptation and live as men set apart for God’s purposes.

Prayer

Lord, grant me the strength to overcome temptation and sin. (Romans 6:12-14; 1 Corinthians 10:12-13)

Meditation:

Consider strategies for resisting temptation and walking in holiness.

Quote:

“Temptation is not something we can escape; in fact, it is essential to the well-rounded life of a person. Beware of thinking that you are tempted as no one else—what you go through is the common inheritance of the human race. God does not save us from temptations—He sustains us in the midst of them.” – Oswald Chambers

“Either you kill sin, or sin will kill you. The sinful nature that lives within us remains with us as long as we’re in this world, so it must always be put to death. When sin leaves us alone, we might be tempted to leave sin alone; but sin is never more dangerous than when it appears to be dormant, so our fight against it must be intense at all times.” – John Owen
