God's Miracles Prove Who He Is

Grace Kids tim.payne • May 07, 2023

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but He didn’t stay dead. God was pleased with Jesus’ sacrifice and miraculously raised Jesus from the dead to prove He is the Son of God and salvation is found in Him.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

Discussion Questions:

• Why did Jesus rise from the dead?

• How do you feel when you think about Jesus’ resurrection?

• What does Jesus’ resurrection teach us about His identity?

Family Prayer:

Mornings
Praise God for the miracles recorded in the Bible and how they teach us about Him. Which miracle from the Bible stands out to you the most? What does this miracle teach you about God?

Evenings
Thank God for the gift of Jesus. Praise Him for sending Jesus to live a perfect life we could never live, to be punished on the cross for our sins, and for rising from the grave to guarantee eternal life for all who believe in Him. Why is the resurrection of Jesus the greatest miracle?

Family Activities:

For Fun...

1. Bake and decorate cross-shaped Easter cookies with your family. Distribute them to neighbors and ask your kids invite them to church or share the good news of the gospel with them.

2. Use a poster board to write down as many miracles from the Bible as your family can remember. After you’ve made the list, look up the Scripture references (where it’s found in the Bible) for each miracle and write it on the poster. Keep the poster as a reminder of God’s miracles. Take a moment to thank Jesus for miraculously rising from the grave to give eternal life to all who believe in Him.

To Serve...

1. As a family, watch the Gospel Project for Kids: Gospel Presentation . Discuss the presentation with kids using the terms from the video. Then, read 1 Corinthians 15:1-8. Play the role of detectives and talk about some of the evidence for the resurrection. Discuss why Jesus’ death was necessary for salvation and how His resurrection is the hope for eternal life
