Craig Cabaniss, Senior Pastor
Craig grew up in the Houston area, going on to study at Baylor University. After graduation, Craig married Ginger and they moved to Pasadena, California where Craig earned his Master of Divinity from Fuller Seminary. While in seminary, Craig was first introduced to Sovereign Grace Ministries through their member church in Pasadena, CA. He later served on their pastoral staff for five years, and then planted a church in San Diego. Craig pastored Grace Church in San Diego for ten years before returning to Texas to lead a team in planting a new church in Frisco. In addition to his responsibilities at Grace Church, Craig travels to our related Sovereign Grace Ministries churches in Texas and Kansas, caring for their pastors.
Craig and Ginger have four children: Courtney, Katie, Christopher, and Kevin.
Pete Payne, Pastor
Pete earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (where he met his wife Betsy) and his Masters of Counseling degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was in Virginia Beach that Pete and Betsy were first introduced to Sovereign Grace Ministries. After attending Sovereign Grace Church for a few years, Pete was sent to the PDI School of Ministry and subsequently joined the pastoral staff of Sovereign Grace Church. In 1998, Pete relocated his family to Denver, Colorado to assist in the planting of the Sovereign Grace Ministries church there. Pete pastored at the church in Denver for seven years until 2005, when he relocated to Frisco, Texas to assist in planting Grace Church.
Pete and Betsy have four children: Jon, Tim, Josh, and Bethany; and one granddaughter: Eliana.
Rob Tombrella, Pastoral Intern
Rob grew up in the Galveston area before meeting his wife Michelle at Sam Houston State University. Rob attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated in 2003. He has served in a number of pastoral roles before joining Grace Church and recently graduated from Sovereign Grace Ministries Pastors College in 2008. When he’s not taking walks with his wife or wrestling with his sons, Rob heads up our singles ministry and evangelistic outreaches.
